My First Book Signing Recap

by J.C. Keough Leave a Comment

Spoiler alert . . . It was amazing!

On January 27th, a good friend set up my first ever book signing event. Being a close friend, and knowing me as well as she does, she set it up at a brewery. Perfect!

Bankhead Brewery was a dream to deal with, and I highly recommend them if you need to hold an event. Originally they were going to set me up on the enclosed patio, but the weather turned chilly. So instead we were in their brew room, surrounded by the shiny brew tanks and equipment. The room has a ventilation system second to none because of the strict requirements for brewing. How fantastic is that?

A wonderful mix of friends and former co-works filled the space in no time, and there were even some fresh faces in the crowd as two Bookstagrammers made the hour and a half drive to be there. Thank you @bigs_bookshelf and @Cheeky_Chapters!

Throughout the evening I signed copies of Dying in Dallas and The Blood Will Tell and it was exciting to see so many people holding copies of my books.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first event.

So, thank you to Bankhead Brewing Co for making it such a memorable night, thanks to everyone who showed up and I’m also sending a special thank you out to the people who couldn’t make it, but sent messages of support and encouragement.

I can’t wait for the next one!
