Dying in Dallas is Out!

Dying in Dallas by J.C. Keough

An Early Launch

Dying in Dallas launched on July 28th, two days ahead of my planned date. As someone who is perpetually late and a procrastinator, this was a monumental accomplishment.

About Dying in Dallas

There is a blurb about the book here, but the short version is that Laramie Harper’s thirtieth birthday weekend takes a terrible turn because of vampires, werewolves, and the search for a centuries-old relic. The story is filled with voodoo, wine, dogs, and more than a few sexy men.

Where to Get Your Copy

The paperback is available to order online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

The ebook is available exclusively on Amazon. It is enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, so if you have a KU subscription you can read it for free.

You can also read Dying in Dallas for free by requesting your library add it to their collection.

What I’m Reading – June 2020

by J.C. Keough Leave a Comment

What does Genre Fluid mean? Simply stated, I read a variety of genres. Mystery, thriller, paranormal, romance, urban fantasy, regular fantasy, fiction, or non-fiction—it makes no difference to me. I also read ebooks, old fashioned paper books, and I consider listening to audiobooks as reading.

Books

Corrupted Soul by Amanda Twigg

I LOVE this series. This is book two and I can’t wait for book three to be released. Landra lives in a world where warriors and magic are at odds. Her father is the head warrior and her ultimate dream is to become a warrior, but she has magic. 😬

If you are looking for a book to completely take you out of your reality and plop you down in another, this is it.

Check it out at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk depending on where you live.

The American Agent by Jacqueline Winspear

I love books, especially mysteries, where you learn something along the way. The Maisie Dobbs series follows Maisie Dobbs (surprise!) in England as she solves mysteries in the years between World War I and World War II. In the first war she served in France as a nurse and the series starts with her recovering from her injuries and reconciling herself to the fact that her fiancé will never recover from his. The American Agent is the 15th book in the series and follows Maisie into the blitz on London during World War II. If you like history with your mysteries, the Maisie Dobb’s series is for you.

Check it out on Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk depending on where you live.

Honor the Journey

by J.C. Keough

How often do you hear the old adage Life isn’t a destination, it’s a journey? Pretty much all the time? Yeah, me too. How often do you take the time to enjoy the journey or at least reflect on it? If you are like me, not nearly enough.

On January 1, 2020, I sat down to review 2019, take stock of my writing goals for the year, and evaluate how I did. At first glance, I didn’t do very well. In fact, some might even say I failed in 2019. To be truthful, that was my first reaction too.

Eye of newt, wing of bat, ground werewolf teeth….

Nah, I’m just kidding. Maybe…..

On this page, you will find my ramblings to include, but not limited to:

  • Books and stories I am conjuring
  • Upcoming travel plans and post-trip follow-ups
  • Random thoughts that I share when the mood strikes me about life, writing, travel, wining, whining, and dogs
